Human Resources
Message from the Director of Human Resources
The Weston Public Schools employ approximately 400 staff in a variety of roles to support our four schools, 117 acres of athletic fields and grounds, diverse educational programs and services, and co-curricular activities. The employee groups include teachers, administrators, secretarial/support, computer technicians, para-professionals, maintenance, custodians, security monitors, nurses and a variety of contract service personnel.
The Weston Public School system takes pride in its highly qualified teaching staff and provides teachers new to the school system a formal week-long induction program, individualized staff development, teacher mentors, and curriculum specialist support. Ongoing professional development is a major focus of the district; providing teachers with opportunities to be lifelong learners.
We actively recruit teachers, administrators, and other employees who are highly qualified, have a passion for educational excellence, and who enjoy working in a high performing public education setting. Our community expects excellence, and the Human Resources Department is committed to recruiting educators who meet that expectation. On average, our school system hires approximately 25 new teachers each year and a similar number of non-certified/classified staff.
The Human Resources Department is dedicated to serving our staff and the community by providing a wide variety of services and opportunities. The information and data easily accessed on this website describe the services offered to our employees and the general public. Copies of all of our union agreements (including pay scales and insurance benefits) can be accessed on our website, and staff can access information and forms regarding insurance benefits and payroll. All open positions are posted on our site, and in the near future, prospective candidates for employment will be able to apply for open positions online.
